pot with a push-pull for active / passive and the blend pot with a 4-position rotary switch that gives me neck / neck + outer coil of bridge / inner coil of bridge / full bridge. I had to route the body for the bridge pickup (the stock was single) and it went into the control cavity, so I had to epoxy some extra plywood in there to have a place for the height screw to screw into. Pickups: Seymour Duncan SJB-5n stack (neck), Nordstrand MM5.4 (bridge). The project went through several iterations based on whatever leftover parts I had from other projects and my mood that day. The neck is very nice, thin and narrow for what I usually like but very stable and playable.

Cheap hardware, over the years the bridge ended up bent upwards from the string tension and the tuners didn't hold well. The controls are volume, blend, bass and treble. The preamp is a Mighty Mite MM114 (apparently a clone of the Spector Haz Lab) which is clearly intended for active pickups (25k blend pot) but here is used with passives, hence the very dark tone, especially for what you'd expect from an all-maple bass. It's a Tobias Toby 5 from around 2000 or so (note this was after Gibson bought Tobias, it was cheap, nothing to do with the high end Tobiases of yore) that I had as a spare (my main is a Warmoth), one day decided to mod for fun and never got round to finishing until now. Confinement has encouraged me to finish a project I left parked years ago, I thought I'd share in case it's of interest to someone.
